About the Kuro Series Blades

Kuro is Japanese for black.

The Kuro Series knives are extremely sharp and made out of zirconium dioxide. These knives are intended for trained professionals only. Zirconium dioxide is an extremely hard material that maintains superior edge retention and an extremely sharp edge. Due to the hardness of the blade, the knives may chip or snap if excessive pressure is applied improperly to the knife's flat surface.

Do not use the Kuro series knives for carving or boning cuts of meat, or to cut hard or frozen items or apply force to the side of the blade to crush garlic or other items, as this involves twisting and flexing the blade, which Kuro series knives should not be used for. Do not consume any food prepared in the event the blade is improperly used or chips.

With the right care, Kamikoto knives can last many generations. Hand wash and dry thoroughly before storage.
